Who the apartment suits
The Knechtestube is the most compact apartment in the house – just right for hikers, climbers and small families who are out all day and want a cosy retreat in the evening.
Around the house
Free parking is right across the road, there is a separate garage for bicycles and e-bikes, and you can charge your electric car at the wallbox. The Hammergut is a non-smoking house. Pets cannot stay in the apartments of the Hammergut – guests with a dog stay in the Waldhaus holiday house opposite.
Straight from the door
From the courtyard, paths lead along the Biela, to the Forststeig trail and to the climbing rocks of the Bielatal. Our digital tour guide TOURsten knows the walks from the door and plans your holiday day with you.

Why here?
Base camp in the realm of rock towers
From the Hammergut, hikes and climbing routes begin right at the front door: more than 230 climbing rocks and a dense network of trails run through the Bielatal and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. And for a day of culture in between: Dresden is only about 30 minutes away by car, and Görlitz and Prague also make rewarding day trips.
